johnsonJohnson Subba completed his 12th standard in the commerce stream under the CBSE Board in Pelling Higher Secondary School in the small town of Pelling in Sikkim. His father is a peon in the Power Department while his mother is a homemaker. He also has a younger brother who is studying in the 12th standard. Their combined family income is no more than Rs. 13,500 per month. Johnson is glad to have been introduced to the idea of law as a career option by IDIA and believes that law will be an interesting field of study for him. His hobbies include playing football, reading fiction, singing and playing the guitar. His role model is the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi who was also a qualified barrister by profession. In the future, he wants to become a successful lawyer and work as the legal head for a company. He is grateful to IDIA for all their help and support.

Jonnson has earned himself a seat in NLU Odisha with Rank 4 in the ST category. Johnson was selected as the Convener of the Sports Committee at his university in 2015.
