Namrata Srivastava is from Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh and belongs to a family of four. Namrata was 16 when she lost her father to liver cancer. She did her schooling from Lucknow Public School and despite many hardships, secured 85% in her CBSE X exams and 79% in her CBSE XII exams.

An avid sportsperson, Namrata has won accolades by representing her school in the inter-school Table-tennis tournament at the District level and being the champion in the same. She believes that IDIA has provided her with once-in-a-lifetime opportunities and training facilities and is determined to make the best of the same. Currently, she is a 3rd year student at National Law University, Odisha. She has a stellar 7.83/8.00 CGPA and is the 1st rank holder in her class. She has interned under senior advocate Suresh C Gupta, during May 2014 and has gathered knowledge on preparation of arguments of matters involving constitutional, contractual, consumer, service, criminal, matrimonial and property issues before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and the High Court of Delhi.

She has participated in quite a few moot court competitions and was a Semi-finalist of the 12th Nani Palkhivala Memorial Tax Moot Court Competition, 2016. She won the Best Memorial Award in the 5th Amity International Law Moot Court Competition, 2015 and also at 26th Kerala Law Academy Moot Court Competition, 2015. Her other achievements also include reaching the Quarter Finals of 4th Jamia Millia Islamia National Moot Court Competition (March 2013).

In her free time, she likes watching comedy movies and believes that a good sportsman’s spirit and laughter is all that a person requires for crossing every hurdle of life.

Namrata wants to pursue her career in corporate law as well as empower her community by offering pro bono service to help other underprivileged students to shine in life. She believes that law school is the ideal place to further her goals with the proper conducive atmosphere, drive and healthy competition from the top law students in the country.
